Elevator Pitch No. 2

After reading my feedback from my last pitch, I realized I needed to slow down. Additionally, I realized that instead of speeding right through it all, I needed to pause and take a break here or there. I also needed better phrasing and pronunciation. I was surprised to hear that my pitch was one of the most professional they have seen compared to my other peers. I thought everyone's opinion was helpful and nothing was wrong or silly. Here is my take two on it:

This time, I kept a notecard so that I could have help instead of restarting over and over if I got lost. In addition, I made sure my pronunciation was better and was sure to speak slower and more audible.

  2. Hi, Justin. Props on dressing up for your pitch, it makes all the difference to have a professional appearance. Your pitch is very fluid and it is nice to see you break it up with some pauses. No shame in having a notecard! I used one too, but just make sure to make your glances at it less frequent so that you don't have a disconnect with the audience. I also have a problem with speaking too quickly and you are doing a great job at practicing that.

  3. Hi Justin,

I think you did a great job in presenting your elevator pitch number 2. You dressed the part for it which conveyed a sense of professionalism and expertise. I like that in your reflection, you wanted to correct the speaking criticisms that other students had left behind. I was able to understand you very well. Good job practicing!
