College life means constantly being in a hurry. Sometimes it can be very difficult for students to get from point A to point B on campus on time. In order to combat this problem, I want to incorporate a new program called UFBIKE. UFBIKE is a program that consists of installing bike docking stations all across campus to replace the dormant clutter of normal bike racks. Bikes would be available 24/7 in which students can rent bikes either per trip or via a semester pass. UF bike would give every student the opportunity to use a bike when most convenient for them, so when students are in a hurry, they don't have to sprint across campus to make it on time.
Justin, you did a great job on your first pitch! This is a great idea and I really like how you ended your pitch with a question so it would incite a conversation after you have given your pitch. You dressed professionally and were animated while you were speaking which all create an atmosphere of professionalism and enthusiasm for your product. The only suggestion I have for your future elevator pitches is to talk a little bit slower, at times you were speaking a little fast. That is just a minor suggestion but I honestly couldn't find anything else to critique. First off, I think your video is the most professional video I've seen so far. That is very respectful. I love your idea, however unfortunately, I've heard of it before. If you are the first to implement this however, I think you should get right to it. This was a great pitch but you did speak a little fast. If you'd like, you can check out my blog here: http://stthach.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1.html
Your idea is great for UF. A bike system would be extremely convenient for people like me who do not own a bike. You are very professional and the enthusiasm you have for UFBIKE is evident. One tip I have is to add pauses at appropriate moments; the pauses should be only one second long. I do have an important question. How would UFBIKE work against loss and prevention? If someone stole the bike from a student from right under them, who would be accountable? Could there be barriers around campus (like how shopping carts stop at a certain line)? This would not be necessary in an elevator pitch, but in the basic business plan. Otherwise, you did a great job. If you can, please check out my elevator pitch at http://innovationnation101.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1.html.
